One of our latest completed projects was in Bollington, Cheshire, with a local builder who required us to assist with the design of the entire system. The new Co-operative Food store which is located on a new residential site required aluminium fascia, soffit, gutter and downpipes all to be colour matched to the architect’s RAL specification.
Stormguard Rainwater worked very closely with the builder to help design bespoke box ends and apex corners for the fascia along with a bespoke box gutter design, whilst keeping in line with the architect’s specification. After speaking with the customer and taking the required measurements on site we were able to manufacture bespoke products that were a perfect fit for the building.
Selecting the aluminium box gutter.
The architect was looking to keep a modern look to the building in keeping with the new build houses located nearby. A box gutter is the ideal system to achieve this. In addition to a modern appearance the box gutter is one of the most cost effective systems to contain and discharge large volumes of rainwater from any domestic, commercial or industrial building. The systems are pressed from aluminium sheet with a minimum gauge of 2mm. The majority of specifiers opt for an internal welded bracket placed at 675mm centres to add strength to the gutter to be able to cope with snow loading.
